Default PvP blood curse necro

this build is very effective in RA etc, especially against warriors

attributes
blood 12 + rune
curses 11 + rune
soul reaping 5 +rune

rune lvl, and which scar pattern you use is up 2 you, i prefer max blood(16) , 14 curses, and 8 soul reaping-- all superior runes

(this is my set up, alter it to what u think is best)

skills

vampiric gaze
vampiric touch
shadow strike
life siphon
life transfer(elite)
insidious parasite
enfeeble
RES spell/signet

this is effective against warriors because enfeeble means the warriors do less damage,i normally take 7-9 damage with droks armour, and with insidious parasite they heal you for 16 health each time they attack, meaning thatthese two spells alone could kill a warrior if maintained

life siphon is there to provide DoT and HoT, and when cast on the entire oppsoing teamu have max health regeneration, and transfer is to negate the powerful healing spells/skills, such as healing breeze and troll unugument.
vampiric gaze, touch and shadow strike are there to provide health recovery and a more direct form of damage dealing. and all 3 attacks bypass defence so with 16 blood magic, and if shadow strike is used on an opponet with over 50% health, they can deal 240 damage if all 3 are cast on a single target.

This build is mainly effective because of the constant healing, defence bypassing attacks, and making the warriors, and rangers, near useless.

Its weakness, like most spell casting builds, is interupts.however, because all skills except enfeeble provide healing, and vampiric gaze and touch having 1 second cast time, it is quite easy to recover from a seriuos beating.

enffeble and insidious parasite are also effective against the doppleganger aslong as you dont attack. if u maintain both spellsthen the damage taken and the healing from insidious break even, and u can kill the doopleganger with almost ull health.

tell me what u think

credit for this build goes to:
me
my guildies for putting up with me
the warriors of RA who loved attacking me without thinking
Syria blackblood/zinger314(below) for pointing out i need soul reaping

Soul Reaping is fairly bad in anything but HA.

However, yes, you do need some form of energy management. I've said it once, and I'll probably say it a million more times; Offering of Blood is roughly a billion times better than Life Transfer. Hell, in a Curses build that you wish to be anti-Warrior I would rather take Spitefull Spirit, even though that isn't brilliant either.

Offering of Blood, Vampiric Gaze, Life Siphon, Faintheartedness, Parasitic Bond, Conjure Phantasm, Distortion, Resurrection Signet.

There is a decent N/Me build for degen and warrior hate.

Default my personal favorite

hey if you still need builds, check this out, its my personal favorite PVP wise, i mean its not invincible, but its damned close at times... (it has multiple weaknesses, but can usually kill about any foe before dieing)

Wallow's Bite ~Sacrifice 10% max Health. Target touched foe takes 20...50 shadow damage.

Touch of Agony~Sacrifice 10% max Health. Target touched foe takes 20...50 shadow damage.

Jaundiced Gaze~Sacrifice 10% Health. If target foe has more Health than you, you steal up to 18..52 Health. Otherwise, you deal 18..52 damage.

Dark Pact~ Sacrifice 10% Health and deal (10...40) shadow damage to target foe

Blood Renewal~Sacrifice 25% maximum Health. For 10 seconds, you gain +(3...5) Health regeneration. When Blood Renewal ends, you gain (40...160) Health

Dark Aurora~For 30 seconds, whenever target ally sacrifices Health, Dark Aura deals 5...41 shadow damage to adjacent foes, and you lose 5...17 Health.

Aurora of the Lich {e}~For 15...39 seconds, you lose half of your maximum Health, but you take half damage from all sources. When Aura of the Lich ends, you're healed for 50...202 Health.

RES SIG of coarse

point is, keep AoL + Dark aurora up and you can hit 90s for 5 energy and a slight amount of health which will regen as fast as you sac it *(keep blood renewal up)

ATR~~ 16 blood; 11 Death; rest SR.., btw the stats listed there are for 12 blood max, you have more then that, so it ends up doin around 60 + 35 or somthing, well have fun if you have ne questions at all PM ME (add me to friends cas i may or may not be on one of these, although they are my most frequently played)

Zindread Deathshade

Soul Bandit

Shoot N Loot

(last slot is pvp so thats whereyoud have to friends me; note(i dont use pvp slots much cas i have 9/10 skills useful in pvp unlocked on those rp chars to play necro, mesmer, or ranger, and those are my personal favorite combos, also with factions, i have every secondary =)

ok, thank you for submitting ur ideas, but plz putur builds in ur own thread, they get better publicity that way. and the main problem with that build is the constant sacrafices, the fact that u have to b close for most of the spells, and the lack of a real healing spell/ability.

I was not submitting an idea. I was telling you why your build doesn't work particularly well, and giving you a better alternative.

Sorry that is a very risky build you run there. Since enfeeble can be spammed, why have such high curses? ~3-4 curse is enough for para bond and enfeeble. Your hexes get striped quickly.

Without energy management you will be in trouble fairly quickly, like JR said.

lets see;

Vamp Gaze 10en 1sec
Vanp touch 15en (!)
Shadow S 10en 2sec
Life Trans 10en 2sec
Life Siphon 10en 2sec
Insideous 15en (!)

You have no mantra of resolve or any energy income. If you dont kill them with your first combo (estimate about 45-50en)... you kinda sit with your thumb up your ... for about a minute.

Any interupts and your damage is further reduced. Most TA monks will have 2 hex removal and the team will have a mend conditioner. The lack of cover hexes is a big problem, you'll find you will be wasting your 10 en to simple 5en with heals thrown in.

If you must run LT/LS throw in a couple of spammable hexs and run dark bond vamp gaze for finishing. Your vamp gaze + LT/LS regen supports your Dark bond spam. Inspiration for energy (PD and/or NRG drain) You can get rid of your sup soul and curses giving you an extra 150HP to play with.

Remember if you die, your hexes stop degening, and 230 is an easy target for spiking.

ok, i see ur point, but i dont use the skills like that.
i start with enfeeble + parasite on a warrior/ranger.Then use siphon, for a cover hex or Transfer then siphon if my health is low, then use gaze/strike for damage. i only use vampiric touch to finish off a foe if they r about to be healed.

And i said RA,not TA. in TA this build i only good with an energy source spell e.g replace transfer with OoB

This is my build, and it works for me. if u like it use it. and as i said in the first post change the stats to wat suits u, i prefer higher curses to make parasite more effective.

and the health thing
480-225= 255
255+ 50(sup vigour)+ 30(wepon mod)=335
and i stopped using the sup soul runenow,my health was to low so my health is around 410 now

and to JR, i was saying that to Shoot n loot. he posted a different build, urs was a variation of mine

thank you for the input though
